The three thrill attractions – the Cloudscraper Zip Line, the Royal Rush Skycoaster and the Via Ferrata – are separate, extra-fee experiences you can add on the day. • Three attractions sit outside the ticket — the Zip Line, the Skycoaster and the Via Ferrata. Budget for them separately, and check they are running: the first two close in deep winter for inspection.
• The ticket is valid for two days from first use. Use it. Walk the bridge and ride the gondola on the first afternoon, then come back for the theater and the playland when the park is quietest.
• The rim is exposed and summer afternoons bring thunderstorms through the canyon. Arrive at opening. Mornings are cooler, quieter, and far less likely to be interrupted.
• The gondola and rim rides run weather permitting. Check the day’s hours on the park’s own site before you set out, because they shift by season.
